Please note that these group lessons are not part of our therapeutic programming.  Therapeutic riding lessons are required for anyone with a diagnosis. Before participating in therapeutic riding lessons, specific paperwork/medical release and an assessment must be completed so that we are aware of the needs of the rider and can customize the lessons to fit their needs/goals. Please contact us at info@thelegacyranch.org if you have questions or would like more info about therapeutic riding lessons.

All individuals must be able to hold themselves up on the horse, be able to listen, wait patiently, use inside voices, and follow multi-step directions.  Safety of our participants, staff, volunteers, and horses is our first priority, so we must ensure that children will not run off, run up to or around our horses, or hit or shout at the horses, staff, volunteers, and other riders. Anyone demonstrating unsafe behaviors around or on the horses may be asked to leave. The instructor reserves the right to remove a rider from the horse or not allow them to get on the horse if they feel there is a safety concern.

New clients only. 1 discounted group spot per person. Weight limit of 175 lbs. Available for dates/times listed only. No more than 4 riders in each lesson, so spots are limited. Sorry, no refunds.

All participants must come prepared with proper attire to ensure that they are comfortable and safe around the horses. This will include long pants and closed-toed shoes with a heel. Our indoor arenas are heated to 50 degrees during the winter, so we recommend dressing in layers or wearing a coat or jacket. Certified horseback riding helmets are required and will be provided if the participant does not own one.

All participants must have a current (updated yearly) waiver on file before the class begins. Please click here for waiver.

If you have family or friends who come to watch the lesson, they will also need to sign a waiver. Only riders are allowed to be in the arena and barn. Parents, guardians, family, and friends can watch the lesson from our viewing room. Children cannot be left unattended in the viewing room.
