1-Day Riding Camps

Monday, January 19th

February 16th

9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Ages 7+

Our one-day camps are great for participants wanting to learn more about horses and have some fun! Each camp will have different activities!

Participants will learn about horse care and safety and be able to interact with our horses through hands-on activities and games. They will also do a winter/holiday craft and spend time riding.

Activities may include: scavenger hunt, creating an obstacle course to take horses through, games with horses, baking cookies, snowman contest (weather permitting) and more!

No horse experience is necessary!

Please bring a sack lunch. We kindly ask that all food be peanut-free.

All participants must come prepared with proper attire to ensure that they are comfortable and safe around the horses. This will include long pants and closed-toed shoes. Please dress to be prepared to be inside and outside, weather permitting. Dress in layers (wear/bring a hat and gloves.)

All new participants (updated yearly) must sign a waiver before the class begins. Please click here for waiver.

No Refunds if registration is cancelled less than 1 week before your selected camp date. Cancellations requested on or before January 12th (for January 19th) or February 9th (for February 16th) will be subject to processing fee.

We will need a minimum of 8 participants to run the camp - we will contact you if we need to cancel or reschedule a camp.

Online registration will close 48 hours before the start of camp. If you would like to see if we still have availability, please email info@thelegacyranch.org.

*Please note that unless otherwise posted, our camps are not part of our therapeutic programming.  Therapeutic riding lessons require specific paperwork/medical release and an assessment so that we are aware of the needs of the rider and can customize the lessons to fit their needs/goals.  Unfortunately, we do not have the staffing and volunteers available to offer individualized camp curriculums during the scheduled camp dates.  We ask that all participating campers be able to listen, wait patiently, use inside voices, and follow multi-step directions.  Safety of our participants, staff, volunteers, and horses is our first priority, so we must ensure that children will not run off, run up to or around our horses, or hit or shout at the horses, staff, volunteers, and other campers. We want all campers to enjoy their time at The Legacy Ranch and make sure that they are able to learn and thrive while in our care.  Please contact us if you have any questions!
